Educators should buy Plato's Progeny in spite of the product description on Amazon which opens with the lie that "Socrates wrote nothing" and does not improve much from there. The book supports the most important aspect of Plato, that students should read him. In an ideal world Lane replaces I.F. Stone as the most popular writer on Plato among US librarians!

Excellent explanation, thank you.
