Friedrich Nietzsche's The Genealogy of Morality presents a highly original account of the sources of our values. Christopher Janaway, author of Beyond Selflessness: Reading Nietzsche's Genealogy, discusses Nietzsche's influential book in this episode of Philosophy Bites.
Listen to Christopher Janaway on Nietzsche on Morality
I love Nietzsche. The more I learn about him the more I realise I don't know that much. This podcast came just at the right time as I am in the middle of writing my thesis which includes some work about Nietzsche and I was struggling to really make it link to what I was doing. Now it all makes sense again.

Fantastic podcast; really helped frame Nietzsche's critique of customary morality. Thanks!

Absolutely fascinating. I've listened multiple times. It's very revealing to expose even the concept that things such as morality are based on cultural (in this case Christian) values.
