Nice interview. I recently became a philosophy student with the OU and Oxford thanks to Stephen Law's excellent book - The Philosophy Gym. His work is very accessible, clear and well grounded.

As an atheist I do tend to feel uncomfortable during Xmas time, especially with the commercialisation of the season and the emphasis on excess and self-indulgence. For me Xmas (I don’t even like to say Xmas, prefer winter break) is a time to regroup oneself with family and friends and enjoy the warmth of each others company during the cold winter months – nothing more, nothing less.

I think the Xmas Files will be a good present to give this year.

VP,

I like reading Mr. Law's work and I was wondering if Virutal Philosopher (VP) can announce when 'The God of Eth' is available. Perhaps VP could also whet our appetite a bit by providing the thought experiment for us in a short form if it is available.

Cheers;

How I hate canned shopping centre carols in September, and we in Australia, also have to put up with all sorts of ridiculous winter images as well. Straw men and women for a philosopher. I would look forward to a bit more substance in criticisms of ideas of "incarnation" and orthodox christianity in both this interview and Law's book.
